ANIMATION
Animation Showreel 2024
We specialise in Stop Motion Animation and can also provide computer based 2D animation, or a combination of both. Stop Frame utilises thousands of photos sequenced together to create motion, often with plastercine models, wool models, paper constructions or real life objects. We work with you from the initial brief, through concept creation, scriptwriting, storyboarding, voice over recording until the complete animation is delivered.
Metropolitan Pub Company - Metrologic
This stop frame animation uses handmade colourful paper shapes along with hands to convey a message in an eye catching way. The company devised a new training chart and pack of cards that map out a code of essential behaviours for employees to follow. The animation is designed to explain the ‘Metrologic’ thinking, how to use cards in a fun and simple way.
NHS - Let's start talking about Sexual Safety
This awareness animated film was made for the NHS to help get people talking about Sexual Safety. It was created with stop frame animation and basic human form Plastercine models to avoid the use of gender, age, race, and culture. The tactile models and props are designed to help the film be tangible for viewers so they draw from and apply their own experiences and then relate to the different scenarios.
Equation - Ask the Question
This is part one of a two part animation designed to help relay the importance of Healthcare Professionals asking patients about domestic violence.
This film aims to focus on the patients perspective. It highlights the feelings of the patients and offers thought provoking suggestions about what it can feel like if someone is not asked at a moment when they would potentially like to share an experience of domestic abuse.
Disrupted Narrative - When We Share
An Arts Council England grant was awarded for a project that would work with women survivors of domestic violence and abuse. This collaboration project with Juno Women's Aid and arts based academic researchers aimed to better understand the impact of domestic abuse on mental health. The resulting animations offer an ongoing platform for sharing the women’s voices, raising awareness and challenging public perceptions. Visit Whenweshare.org for more information.
NHS - Observations
This stop frame animation was created to help NHS staff to understand what it can feel like to be in the position of patients who are under observations. It's really important to make sure that patients don't simply feel like they are just being watched and we aimed to encourage positive interaction with patients by using the patient perspective and highlighting the potential mental health complications for patients.
NHS Leadership Campaign
The campaign team were finalists at the Nursing Times Workforce Awards 2018. This film was made to improve leadership in the Safeguarding team at NHS Nottinghamshire. Highlighting the need to remember what’s important as a social worker when visiting families. Encouraging professionals to look further into what’s happening in front of them and question things even when it’s tough.
Abra-Ca-Debora Pancakes
A selection of GIF's created for Abra-Ca-Debora at Big Fish Design Agency for use on the product website. The illustrations were provided to me by an illustrator. I was then briefed to bring them to life via animation that demonstrated the brand personality and some pancake recipe ideas. www.abra-ca-debora.co.uk
Never Liked It Anyway, USA
An online promo for a website designed to help you get rid of your unwanted ex’s gifts by auctioning them online. What a great idea. We assisted in the making of this film and loved making all the miniature models come to life as we captured each scene. A humorous film for a fabulous business that offers the opportunity to make one person’s trash another person’s treasure. www.neverlikeditanyway.com
eatbigfish. Challanger Brand Consultancy, London
This brief was to create a succinct GIF to be used on the eatbigfish website to advertise it’s new app launch. This film demonstrates how a dynamic message can be communicated via a simple silhouette animation.
