FILM

See Speak Hear - Showreel 2021
If you are wondering what we do day to day, take a look through our 2021 showreel. It offers an insight into the companies and charities we work with. We have a wide variety of clients with many different requirements - you can see how diverse our work is, ranging from fun videos filled with bubbly personalities and animation, to more delicate and sensitive films about more serious topics in healthcare and safeguarding.

Have you heard of Dravet Syndrome?
We’re hoping this film may help to find undiagnosed children and adults living with Dravet Syndrome. So many people have not even heard of it and many families out there are missing out on joining a wonderful charity who support families far and wide to improve their daily lives. This video was produced for International Dravet Syndrome Day 2021 and we were so grateful to get to meet such incredible people along the way and enjoyed the road trip too!

Willow & Finn - Sip & Pour
The brief was to create a series of films for this hand poured soy candle company. We filmed at their Thameside studio in Shepperton for the day and captured the candle making process via a ‘Candle Making Masterclass’ and ‘Candle Bar’ session. The tactile topic of these films leant itself so well an artisan style film, with close shots and lots of detail. It also left us smelling incredible at the end of the shoot which was a fantastic bonus!

Through Her Eyes: Bria’s Story
This charity is doing some amazing work with women in London who suffer from the effects of Domestic abuse and often end up caught up in the Criminal Justice System. Hopefully this film can help share some insight for those who aren't aware of this ongoing and very important issue. This is the story of Bria and how she found the Advance Diversion Service really helpful in turning her life around for the better.

Wild Alice Floral Designs
Wild Alice subscription clients receive a bucket of flowers to their doorstep, the videos allow them to learn how to create wonderful creations to display around their home. We captured this short promo video whilst we were at their farm based workshop. We got the chance to bottle feed a little lamb in the middle of a film shoot too….. can’t beat that experience for a mid filming break!

Neils Story - Living as an adult
This film is about Neil and how he lives with Dravet Syndrome in adulthood. His family were kind enough to welcome us to their home in the Scottish Highlands for the day to capture Neil at home. This film was to debut at the start of Dravet Syndrome UK’s family conference 2021 to help other parents think about the future with their children and try and find other adults living with Dravet Syndrome in the UK.

Metropolitan Pub Company Recruitment
Premium pub company, MPCo. , wanted a short and snappy recruitment video to show off what they do best and highlight the fun their teams have. We filmed the action as it happened for a day in the life of a pub/restaurant in London to let it speak for itself. It was designed for use on Social Media and Linked In to get more people joining the company for careers in hospitality.

Welcome to Woodlands School
Bronze winner in the 2019 Charity Film Awards. This film was made to highlight all things great about this school for pupils who have either severe learning difficulties, very complex needs or autism. It was designed to be fun for both potential parents and pupils to enjoy and learn a little about why Woodlands School is the best. With 12,000 views in it’s first 24hours on Facebook we believe it truly makes it’s point!

Barrel & Stone Pizza
This film was filmed to promote the use of Barrel & Stone Pizzas within Greene King Leased Pubs. Many pubs have adopted the use of pizza as a food offering to provide a simple and effective menu to customers. The long version of the film includes a case study interview with a landlord who has found the pizzas to be an invaluable asset to their business.

Angelman Syndrome in One Word
Shortlisted in the 2020 Charity Film Awards. Families, carers and professionals gave one word to represent Angelman Syndrome and the soundtrack was created entirely from these words. It encapsulates the full rollercoaster of emotion that families endure everyday. This film is to encourage families, left feeling isolated after a diagnosis, to embrace the positives within daily life and have open expectations for their child’s future.

Advance Women’s Centre Launch Event
Advance is a London based charity for women who are victims of domestic abuse and who are caught in the criminal justice system. We filmed during a spoken word workshop with some of the charity service users, led by Spoken Word Poet Shereefa Energy. Some of the women then performed at the opening of a new Women’s Centre in North London alongside a performance from Shereefa of ‘Women’.

What does AngelmanUK mean to you?
Silver winner in the 2019 Charity Film Awards. We visited the AngelmanUK 2018 Conference to capture how important the charity is to the hundreds of families that rely upon it everyday. This rare genetic disorder charity provides support, education and research for parents, carers and professionals. The aim of the film is to encourage more families, who are left feeling isolated after a diagnosis, to find support in the AngelmanUK community.

Greene King Bury St Edmunds Brewery Tour
This short version of the brewery tour film gives you a small insight into the entire tour that was filmed around Greene King head office and brewery. Designed to give viewers the experience of being in the tour group. The full film is 45 minutes long and offers a great deal of information and facts about Greene King’s heritage, the 1930’s brewery building and about the brewing process carried out on a daily basis.

Essex Students Union - Wallpaper Party
We were involved in the filming at Essex Uni collaborating with a company that were re-branding the SU. Capturing the re-brand launch party to introduce their new, edgy approach to being the most student focused SU in the world. Students were involved in building photo walls and signing pledges. The party was designed to help build key relationships between the university and it’s students from the outset.

Big Smoke Brew Co. & the Antelope
See Speak Hear visited the Antelope get some film shots of their micro brewery. They use the space at the back of their courtyard to brew their own beers, giving customers the chance to see their drinks being made. This film demonstrates a great example of a business with their local community in mind.

Godzilla Meets ASSERT
An interview with the Director of Godzilla, Gareth Edwards and ASSERT, the UK Angelman Syndrome Charity. Gareth is the Patron of ASSERT. Warner Brothers kindly gave us footage to edit and we put together a series of films to raise awareness. Part 1 of the interview, find more on Youtube at the AngelmanUK channel.

ANIMATION

Let's start talking about Sexual Safety
This awareness animated film was made for the NHS to help get people talking about Sexual Safety. It was created with stop frame animation and basic human form Plastercine models to avoid the use of gender, age, race, and culture. The tactile models and props are designed to help the film be tangible for viewers so they draw from and apply their own experiences and then relate to the different scenarios.

Metropolitan Pub Company - Metrologic
This stop frame animation uses handmade colourful paper shapes along with hands to convey a message in an eye catching way. The company devised a new training chart and pack of cards that map out a code of essential behaviours for employees to follow. The animation is designed to explain the ‘Metrologic’ thinking, how to use cards in a fun and simple way.

Convergence Group
The client wanted to to make doing business easy, that's why we made this explainer video. With a super complex product and a winding journey through the system we needed to make something quick, direct and ultimately clear for viewers. Enter: ‘Collin’, a little birdie who explains customer service to the audience. Bringing him to life in this animation was quite a journey!

Never Liked It Anyway, USA
An online promo for a website designed to help you get rid of your unwanted ex’s gifts by auctioning them online. What a great idea. We assisted in the making of this film and loved making all the miniature models come to life as we captured each scene. A humorous film for a fabulous business that offers the opportunity to make one person’s trash another person’s treasure. www.neverlikeditanyway.com

NHS Leadership Campaign
The campaign team were finalists at the Nursing Times Workforce Awards 2018. This film was made to improve leadership in the Safeguarding team at NHS Nottinghamshire. Highlighting the need to remember what’s important as a social worker when visiting families. Encouraging professionals to look further into what’s happening in front of them and question things even when it’s tough.

Abra-Ca-Debora Pancakes
A selection of GIF's created for Abra-Ca-Debora at Big Fish Design Agency for use on the product website. The illustrations were provided to me by an illustrator. I was then briefed to bring them to life via animation that demonstrated the brand personality and some pancake recipe ideas. www.abra-ca-debora.co.uk

Wordbuzz
This is a promo animation created for an app that helps to create original words for writers and new brands. This lovely magical story illustrates just one of the endless scenarios in which Wordbuzz is really useful. It was great to be involved in such a playful and imaginative project!

eatbigfish. Challanger Brand Consultancy, London
This brief was to create a succinct GIF to be used on the eatbigfish website to advertise it’s new app launch. This film demonstrates how a dynamic message can be communicated via a simple silhouette animation.
